Apricot-Pineapple Preserve


I asked old Br Francis who’s been working in the jelly factory for over 45 years how we came up with the idea for combining apricots and pineapples. He said, “it’s just a normal flavor -everybody does it.” Perhaps decades ago when we started making this it was an ordinary flavor, but in these modern times it has turned into an extra-ordinary one.
Fr Dominic says that a customer once called him and said that she uses the Apricot-Pineapple Preserves on her baked ham and it tastes like “you’ve gone to heaven.” We can certainly approve of that.
